We have a fantastic opportunity for 2 enthusiastic individuals to join our Student Recruitment & External Communications department as Admissions Officers.
Our Admissions Officers provide an outstanding customer experience to potential students from initial enquiry right through to enrolment at Bradford College.
Working as part of the core Admissions team, you will have responsibility for a discreet curriculum area of the college. Working closely with the Head of that Curriculum area and the wider Admissions team, you will be working to ensure maximum conversion from enquiry to application and application to enrolment, with a focus on compliance and independent advice and guidance.
This a fixed term opportunity for a period of 6 months.
Please note there are two roles available with the following working patterns:
Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Monday and Wednesday 8:30am - 5pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 6:30pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities include:
Provide information to enquirers and applicants
Engage with wider student recruitment team especially marketing to ensure robust keep warm communications/campaigns are delivered for your area
Provide point of contact for Heads of Departments /Faculties, professional Services and enquirers/ applicants and lead the setting / monitoring of student recruitment targets within departments
Support the student enrolment process, the dispatch of enrolment information and other priority administration tasks
Track, input and report on recruitment leads
Ensure you are up-to-date on the latest funding guidance and regulations
Responsible for the coordination and processing of student applications across levels and subject areas for HE and FE in line with GDPR regulations
Responsible for the relaying of decision-making and notification of offers, including conditions for entry based on agreed criteria/entry requirements
Responsible for verifying documentation, which could include academic qualifications, DBS checks, Health Checks and other external checks
Input and record all applications in line with service level agreements to deliver a responsive, supportive and customer led service
Use College based systems (EBS) and processes to input, record and track applications

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
A Level 3 or Advice & Guidance qualification is desirable but not essential
Experience
Working in a customer facing environment
Working within busy business unit with other members of a team
Experience of customer service
Willingness to undertake project work as and when required
Experience of process and procedures within an educational establishment e.g. DBS checks, NARIC etc.
Experience of giving initial advice and guidance to new students
