We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Quality team as a Quality Advocate

 

Our Quality Advocates ensure the effective delivery of key functions to improve levels of user satisfaction.

Working across the department, they coordinate effective support for academic colleagues and provide front-facing advice, guidance and support to users of the department’s services to drive improvement in satisfaction with the service.

They also play an active part in the development of procedures and processes – utilising data, business intelligence and feedback to achieve KPIs.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • To take a proactive role in researching and developing the department’s policies and procedures to meet internal and external requirements.
  • To support the FE Quality Manager in developing and improving processes and systems to make full use of their capabilities to support staff and students.
  • To provide timely information to staff and students - facilitating other requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • To undertake administrative duties relating to individually assigned responsibilities, including, but not limited to; External Examiners and Verifiers; collection and collation of student feedback; quality assurance processes; support for Performance Review panels; maintenance of accurate student information and guidance.
  • To aid student progression by supporting efficient course approval, review and modification processes.
  • To support the further education appeals process.
  • Provide professional support to meetings, focus groups, and the quality of education reviews.
  • To support the collation of quality documentation for audit and quality assurance.
  • To work with departments to identify risk and inform the achievement of actions on the quality improvement plans and action plans.

Education & Training

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

 

Experience

  • Experience in working with regulatory and quality frameworks
  • Experience in quality processes
  • Experience of working with a wide range of people at different levels within an organisation
  • Evidence of having supported the development and implementation of system/process improvements
