We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to take up the newly created role Curriculum Team Leader for Plumbing as part of the College’s Construction department. This role will work alongside the Head of Department and other Curriculum Team Leaders to set the strategic direction and implement the operational plan for provision for Young People, Adults & Apprentices.
The Curriculum Team Leader will be specifically responsible for the performance of their area, including student enrolment, retention and achievement targets; learning environments, quality of teaching and learning; stakeholder engagement, appraisals and staff development.

Responsibilities include:
To be responsible for managing the performance of Plumbing, specifically in the areas of student enrolment, retention and achievement targets; learning environments, quality of teaching and learning; stakeholder engagement, appraisal and staff development; student satisfaction and equality and diversity targets.
To ensure appropriate records, registers, staff and student timetables are maintained and available as required by internal management information systems and external audit regimes.
To ensure that systems are in place to ensure that effective Initial Advice and Guidance takes place and that all programme MIS data is interrogated to support the achievement of intended outcomes.
To be responsible for the overall management of the curriculum team.
To ensure effective management of the curriculums’ physical resources.
To maintain a safe and secure learning environment by ensuring regular risk assessments are undertaken.
To contribute to the collegial culture, mission and strategic objectives and to work with colleagues in other curriculum and service areas across the College.
To support the Head of Department in the planning, innovation, design and development of curriculum programmes and cross College marketing activities.
To promote excellent teaching and effective learning across the curriculum area, and to disseminate and share good practice across the College.

Education & Training
L3 Plumbing qualification
GCSE 5 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
GCSE 5 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
Experience
Experience of curriculum delivery within Further Education
Experience of course development and recruitment
Experience of student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures.
Experience of the interpretation of data sets to inform and enable performance management.
Experience of monitoring and creating actions against KPIs
