Are you passionate about cultural creativity and eager to inspire the next generation of creative entrepreneurs? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a part-time lecturer of Cultural Creative Enterprise at level 4.

You will work to support a new 18-month Young Creatives scheme – supported by a £250,00 grant from the Bradford-based Harry & Mary Foundation, which focuses on improving education and Wellbeing of under-25’s-is offering 10 young people the opportunity to work in Bradford 2025’s Production and Engagement departments. Paid at the Living Wage Foundation rate, these young people will have the unique opportunity to work behind the scenes on Creative Programming and event planning for Bradford 2025.

Young Creatives will be delivered in partnership with the Bradford School of Art enabling the cohort to gain vital on the job experience while working towards a UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Creative Enterprise. This is a part-time role working 14 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for 10 brand new apprenticeship in collaboration with Bradford 2025.

  • Provide mentorship and support to apprentices in cultivating their creative skills and entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.

  • Evaluate and assess apprentices’ progress and provide constructive feedback for their growth and development.

  • To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students.

  • To implement and promote College regulations, policies and procedures.

  • To participate in relevant Course Committee activities.

  • To participate actively in the maintenance and promotion of close links with employers and training agencies.

  • To participate in College Open Days; career events and promotional events both on and off College premises.

  • To provide appropriate information to parents/employers through College reporting systems and open evenings.

Education & Training

  • Degree or equivalent in an Arts or Creative Industries-based subject area.

  • A relevant teaching qualification or working towards this qualification.

  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience

  • Academic, industrial or commercial experience in an area relevant to the programmes.

  • Ability to utilise Information Technology and Information, Learning and Technology both within learning and for administrative purposes.

  • Good organisational and administrative skills.

  • Experience in Good teaching/training.

  • Experience of student pastoral care and disciplinary procedures

  • Experience of course leadership responsibilities.
