We have a fantastic opportunity to join our exceptional Learning, Development & Innovation department as an Apprentice Library Learning Facilitator.
Based primarily in the David Hockney Library, but willing to work flexibly across the college, the Library Learning Facilitator will provide front-line support to learners and staff in the access and use of learning resources, including ILT applications, online learning, and print-based materials. The successful candidate may be required to provide cover for evening sessions until 8pm.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on the L3 Customer Service apprenticeship.
Responsibilities include:
- Supports students and other library users in the access and use of learning resource materials, providing guidance and demonstrating systems and materials as required.
- Seeks to support the delivery of excellent customer service through teamwork & knowledge sharing, contributing to shared meetings and project groups.
- Contributes to the general Library clerical and administrative duties as appropriate.
- Uses and updates Information Management systems used to support the library service.
- Makes decisions using own initiative and judgment, to make optimum use of resources
- Is responsible for issuing Library resource materials and equipment.
- Is responsible for security and disposal of paper and electronic information, some of which is confidential, in line with GDPR Regulations.
- Contributes to the implementation of new and existing policies, procedures/systems to ensure a customer-focused service and Customer Service Standards are achieved

Education & Training
- GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment
