We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced MIS Officer to join our exceptional Health Science, Meditech and Technology department.

The role of the MIS Officer is to be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of information relating to student details, enrolments, timetables, course set up and planning data.

This role will be front facing and will support the Head of Department and Head of School to ensure that all data is processed within the guidelines set out by various Funding Agencies, Audit Regulators and the Colleges’ internal Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • To support the Head of Department with the processing of data during the Business Planning cycle.

  • Create and maintain an accurate course Masterfile for the department.

  • Work closely with cross college departments to ensure an excellent student administration service.

  • To have an in-depth understanding of funding and audit rules as defined by relevant agencies.

  • To understand the College Fee Policy and how it applies to students.

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of student withdraws and transfers in line with the College Policies and Procedures.

  • Responsible for ensuring that timetables are accurately recorded on the system and students are on the correct registers.

  • Responsible for correcting ILR and/or audit errors in a timely manner.

  • Support the Admissions & Enrolment Team with the processing of student enrolments.

  • Responsible for maintaining any electronic or paper-based information stored by the department for funding and audit purposes.

  • Be the Departments primary contact for all student data related queries.

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience

  • Experience of administration in a diverse organisation

  • Experience of Customer service in a diverse organization

  • Experience of utilising IT, including Microsoft Office applications, for administrative purposes

  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
